SENIOR Year is a busy time filled with excitement, anticipation, joy and even sadness, as kids begin to enter the next stage in their life. As a mother of three grown children, I experienced the whirlwind of senior year – and it never got easier! Overwhelmed by obligations; applications, capstones, college visits, sports and other numerous activities, this year does not offer a moment to breathe and take in life as it happens all around us. That's where I come in. Together, we can take a pause and create a moment that captures the precious time of senior year.
My style, shaped over the last 10 years of photographing seniors, is simple and honest. I look for the natural beauty and strength in each individual kid. They are unique, they are wonderful, and they are yours! My job is to capture exactly who they are, so that you have a moment to look back on in years to come and cherish forever. My joy is found in photographing each kid exactly as they were created to be – full of life, freedom and confident in who they are.
It's best to schedule senior portraits well in advanced. Most seniors want outdoor portraits and that means we have to depend on the weather. Most look toward the fall as the best time but there are many places that offer unique backgrounds during the summer months. I've captured some beautiful portraits in the cold of November but the experience isn't as fun for the senior when it's thirty five degrees...it is Ohio after all!
